Toddler and Two Year Old Programs

Your toddler is joyfully discovering new levels of independence each day. She is perfecting many new and amazing skills such as talking, walking, climbing and running.

Our certified, experienced staff encourages the development of your child's independence and her newly acquired abilities. Cushioned open spaces invite your toddler to crawl, jump, slide and roll while in a safe surrounding. Imaginative learning centers such as blocks, dramatic play and sand and water tables beckon the curious toddler to learn through play.

Creative movement with dance, and toys that can be pushed, pulled and ridden reinforce new motor skills. Your child will also enjoy playing games and reading books.

Toddlers are constantly expanding their vocabulary, occasionally struggling to express themselves.

Our enthusiastic staff encourages their budding communication skills by engaging the children in conversation and helping them to resolve conflicts peacefully with words. There may be times when the teacher will need to demonstrate appropriate language to help a frustrated toddler or two year old express her needs or emotions.

Busy Bees implements the High Reach Curriculum, which is specifically designed to meet the needs of active toddlers and two year olds. Theme-based activity plans stimulate language development in both English and Spanish and promote fine motor skills, color and shape recognition, a love of books and music, and much more. We provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum for young toddlers, older toddlers and two year olds.

Our daily schedule balances individual free time with structured group activities. This mix of individual and group time promotes toddlers' growing independence as well as their ability to cooperate and share. We encourage skills that will help your one or two year old blossom into a confident preschooler!
